As is tradition, last year’s winners Parvathy Omanakuttan – PFMI World 2008 and Miss World 1st runner up, Simran Kaur Mundi PFMI Universe 2008 and Tanvi Vyas PFMI Earth 2008, were on hand to pass on their crowns.

Backstage, Ekta, Pooja and Shriya could not keep the smiles of their faces. Pooja (PFMI World 09) said she was constantly asking to be pinched because the win hadn’t set in on her yet. She said: "I’m so happy because I worked so hard and desired this title for so long. I’ve lived my dream."

Ekta (PFMI Universe 09) added, "We plan to get all three crowns this year! But right now, I still want to go hug all my friends."

Meanwhile, PFMI Earth 09, Shriya talked about the joy and relief of winning. She also confessed that she was craving some home food! "It’s such a relief, after weeks of training everything has born fruit.... Now I want home food - Kheer, puri and chocolate. All the stuff I haven’t indulged in." [more]
